10 Months The founding of the city of Vélez-Málaga dates back to the 10th century AD by the Andalusian Arabs, although Phoenician and Roman archaeological sites have been found in the area, dating back more than two thousand years. The city preserves a significant Mudejar and Baroque architectural heritage with palaces, churches and convents among picturesque streets.
